They think that just because they did the emotional checking out while still being with you, they don’t need to work on healing and processing once they left for good.

More often than not this happens because people tend to overestimate how fast they can move on and process a breakup and underestimate the work, power and awareness this really takes.

On some level expect their new man/woman to make up for the wrongdoings of their ex.

Do everything to avoid solitude as much as possible.
